1. What moments in this film stood out for you? Why?
People in this film had experience where they are conscious of the way that other people are usually think of the blacks. For example, a black guy had been in a situation where he walked across a street trying not to scare of a white lady walking towards him.
2. Were there any surprises? Anything that challenged what you know — or thought you knew?
I was surprised at one of students’ experience of racism. When he walked through the bridge that connect one building of school to another, he caught by a police for the sole reason that he went by a white student.
Stereotypes being made in a society truly affects the way that the blacks think and behave. Most black people are trying to be always polite and kind to others not to cause any misunderstanding and to avoid being in trouble.
They do not have equal chances as the whites do, and they perceive about this fact, but they have lack of confidence of going against this wrong conception.
3. What messages, emotions or ideas will you take away from this film? Why?
They should be judged by who they are, not their inherited skin color.
